Devialet changed the names of their product lines. The devialet 4500w gold phantom is 108 db. They changed the name of the gold phantom to the phantom 1. The phantom 1 aka gold phantom now shows 1100 rms watts but with 4500 watts peak power. It's the same. The phantom with 108 db is still their flagship speaker.

Also not having had the 4500w version I can't nessecarily say 1 is better than the other but since they have almost the same price tag, I would imagine the sound stage and field are much wider on the newer model. Comparing to the reactor which was a pleasant surprise on initial purchase. But if you want the best of the best, I'd go with the newer model because more bass and power doesn't always mean better sound especially when it comes to DAT audio
