Hi, Thank you for your question and interest in Devialet products. Devialet speakers are connected in stereo ( meaning both units playing the same audio) by using wifi. One of the speakers could be plugged in using an aux cord from say an Ipod and that would send the signal wirelessly to the other unit. You don't need to hardwire them together, they just need to be connected to Wifi. I hope this answers your question. Thank you
