“Is there a way to project the screen on this tablet on to an HDTV. I would think that a USB C to HDMI cord would work, but have been told probably not. My other option may be a Chromecast, but I am not sure if the Chromecast will let me screen mirror?”

I would think that you could do either. This is a very good tablet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the 2.4GHz radio module in any tablet can also "MiraCast" to a WiFi TV, or any flat panel with a streamer add-on....no cords required. Likely any new-ish disc player will take your "cast", if you don't have one of those little streamer sticks with the HDMI tip in your pocket.
