“I bought this as a back up for my new 80D. When this turned to green light on the canon charger, I tried it with my camera and nothing happened. I put my original canon battery in and it works just fine. Anyone else have this issue with the 80D?”

I also have a canon 80D. The battery is working ok for me.

I don't have an 80D I have a mark D III it worked fine for my camera. sounds like a faulty battery that you got.
