I have the T5i camera & this battery works in my charger & camera

It should charge with the regular Canon charger. Mine does and I’ve had no issues.

Battery charges on original battery charger. No need to purchase additional gear.

Yes, the battery I bought does work with my current Canon charger. However, the first battery I purchased did not charge. I returned it and got another battery that did charge. These are probably not high sell items so they may not have a good shelf life if they sit in the store uncharged. If you have one that is not charging, return it.
