• I've noticed this also. Sometimes the charger turns green, sometimes it stays red. I've only had this camera about a month, I'm going to see how long the charger takes to turn green (when it happens) and just set a timer and take the battery off the charger when it reaches the "green" time. My old Olympus charger used to do this too, BUT it was 15 years old :)

• If the charger does not display the green light of if the light is on as soon as you place the battery on it, then it means the battery is not functional anymore. you would have to go back to the store and get replacement or refund.
