• Yes, you must connect the goggles to the aircraft first then download the DJI Fly App from ios or android, then connect it to the goggles with the cable provided in the package and open the app and link the drone to the app and press go fly.

• You don’t have to wear the goggles, but they have to be connected to the phone through the app and the goggles have to be on.

• First, why would you? You can connect a smart phone to the goggles for your spotter to view, but it wont display all the heads-up items like altitude, distance, battery, signal stregths, etc
