Beware because they can not show you proof of any check list of what they did. Mine wasn’t factory reset so I didn’t have a serial number and it was still connected to the previous owner. Great Job Geek Squad!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it’s just people selling the drone to best buy or returning a used drone geek squad makes sure that it is good and working that’s why it’s “certified”
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.PLEASE READ IF CONTEMPLATING BUYING ANYTHING "REFURBISHED" AT BEST BUY!! I just received my order yesterday (05-13-2023) and I am very disappointed with what I received... My brother is the “FPV guy” in our family and recommended this package bfor my first entry into FPV drone flying. (I am a more of a camera drone person and have Mavic-2 Pro, the Air-2s, and the Mavic-3/RC Pro) I decided to buy the "DJI - Geek Squad Certified Refurbished Avata Pro-View Combo (DJI Goggles 2) - Gray" because the Goggles 2 and Motion Controller are required for me to use the newly released function of using goggles with my Mavic-3. It just made sense... And - Best Buy is usually very nice to deal with and I never had a single bad experience. UNTIL TODAY. I THOUGHT Best Buy had a good price for this package and did not want to buy it on the used /eBay market for obvious “it was crashed but perfectly fine” reasons LOL. MISTAKE !!! The box arrived yesterday and, while it did not have the original box, which is no issue, there WERE huge issues.. There were NO GOGGLES 2 included !! Also.. they included the wrong second battery and there were no propellers included, not even mounted to the Avata. While the second battery looks like the Avata battery, it's nearly double the size and doesn't fit anything else. Also, how do they expect you to fly the drone without propellers or goggles?? In an attempt to save a few hundred dollars, I lost the ability of flying this drone with my brother and nephews who are up visiting for the weekend. It's both the first and LAST time I buy anything"refurbished" or "renewed". Now I have to spend what's most inevitably going to be a ton of time - dealing with all of this! Do I contact some anonymous type call center, drive the long distance to a retail Best Buy, or just box it up, ship it back and do a credit card charge back? (Plus.. I also used a BB gift card for half of the purchase price and probably without the consumer protection aspects of a credit card) When I bought the Mavic-2 and Mavic-3, I went to the local store and came home with perfect products. Same thing with all of my home appliances, TV's and everything else I have purchased from Best Buy. Though I don't have any experience with other "refurbished" items, I would highly recommend that anyone considering buying something as complex as a drone -- buy it in a factory sealed box with all of the consumer protection offered by purchasing with a credit card. I am very disappointed that Best Buy did not have a more thorough process in place to ensure this would not happen to any customers. But, on the other hand, DJI makes great gear and I've never experienced a single problem with any of the equipment or appliances purchased in the 22+ years i have been a Best Buy customer. In fact, I buy most everything electronic at Best Buy. That's probably the only reason why I gave the "refurb" item a shot. I will post any and all followup details here as I go through the process of getting this whole nightmare resolved.
