The one battery I got with the aircraft had no charge the second battery I got had about 3/4 of a full charge. It would depend on length of time it's been in transit.

It is most likely going to be half charged since this is the safest way to store batteries. The batteries have an internal regulator that will by default drop the charge to half automatically after 10 days.
