Yes it will fly out of the box (after topping off the batteries). Just attach the quick release blades and launch. I don’t suggest flying it indoors until after a lot of practice. Be sure to watch tutorials while waiting for the battery to charge. The combos just add extra batteries and other things that will allow you to fly it longer or include cases to carry and store it in.

However, be advised that the Mavic Pro batteries actually have software (Firmware) in them that must be updated to the same level as the drone itself. You do this by inserting the battery into the drone and then powering it all up and going through the update process for the drone. This must be repeated for each battery you use.
