In short yes! You can adjust exposure to help compensate but to get the best shots you want to be in areas that are pretty well lit. I used it for fireworks over the 4th. It’s awesome on city scapes or bridges, etc…control is a bit harder since the camera can’t see well. Def get some experience flying before going at night and you need a 3 mile visible strobe light on it per FAA rules.
