Okay, so I would have given this a 5-star review except for the follow-up accessory issues I had because of DJI policy. I am a first time drone pilot who did my best to research the available drone options and tried to pick one that looked like it would do what I wanted (I want to document remotely located archaeology sites) but not be so complicated that I would be overwhelmed by all I needed to learn to be successful. I feel like I chose the right drone. Flying it is really simple and takes no time at all to master. Figuring out how to get good photos from a drone in the air can be a little bit more challenging, but simply takes a little experience. Getting the photos and videos off the drone and onto my computer is a little bit awkward, but seems to be possible with a three-step process: 1-send data from the aircraft to my I-phone, 2-mail from my I-phone to my e-mail, and 3-downnload from my email to my computer files. Like I said, it's a bit awkward and time consuming, but not unmanageable. One issue I had not considered until I started flying the drone was the relatively short aircraft battery life. After hiking several miles and climbing hundreds of feet to arrive at an archaeology site, you would like to have more than 20-30 minutes of flight to take photos and videos. So you need a spare battery or two to extend your flying time. Right after I purchased the drone and started using it, I decided to purchase spare batteries and a charging station. Now this is where DJI disappointed me. While I could have purchased the "fly more" option and gotten the drone delivered with spare batteries and charger included, or I could have purchased more DJI Mini 2 drones that come with a battery. DJI was not selling any batteries or chargers to existing customers. I hounded their customer support for weeks trying to get a spare battery, but they wouldn't budge. Finally, they sent me an email telling me that for a very limited time I would be allowed to order spare batteries and chargers. I did. They had to come from China to Arizona which turned out to be difficult (but not DJI's fault). So now I have the drone and needed accessories and am flying and taking photos and videos regularly. I am still no expert. The software app that makes it possible to fly the aircraft with your phone is quite sophisticated and complex. I have not completely mastered all the features, but I am doing more sophisticated things than I had imagined prior to getting the drone and plan on continuing to become more expert in my drone flights and photos. I am really satisfied with my drone choice today. Because this is my first drone, I can't compare it to other options, but being able to fold this up and place it in a backpack makes it ideal for what I want to do. And it really is easy to learn to fly. I am having fun and getting great shots.

This is my first drone and I didn’t need all of the bells and whistles that are on ~$1000 drones but gives far more flexibility than drones costing less than $400. With all of the new rules coming from the FAA regarding drones and hobbyists I really didn’t want to get to involved with licensing and I don’t plan on commercializing my drone and if I do I would definitely get the drone pilot license. So far I’m very happy with flight times and the syncing technology is very reliable. And if you have a spare phone that’s not being used use that with remote. The size is what drew me to the DJI mini 2 and I’ve been following DJI drones since 2016. I fell in love with the mini but glad I waited for the mini 2. Camera is better, remote is easier and the syncing technology is far better giving theoretical distances of up to 6 miles - per YouTube user reviews. Really glad I purchased this and have already invested in extra batteries for more flight time. I have captured numerous beautiful sunsets in Wisconsin.

These are great! I even do some architectural work these drones. The flight time is ample for a professional in real estate and the small size has so many advantages. The camera is solid despite its sensor size however I would suggest editing if you’re making prints etc.

I received this as a gift and I could not be happier. After owning several helicopters, this drone is so much easier to control. It’s very stable and the camera is amazing. The gimbal provides stable video at up to 4K with 2X optical zoom. I’ve had it up to 500ft (the ceiling height allowed in my general area by the FAA) and have controlled it almost 2 kilometers (1.25 miles) away. The controller has a signal indicator letting you know if your connection to the drone is getting weak and it stayed strong even at that distance. Camera video also seemed pretty flawless on my phone connected to the controller. Very pleased with this drone overall. I would recommend getting the kit with extra batteries though. You may find that 25 minutes isn’t enough time to get the video or pictures you are looking for. BONUS: If you want to fly at night make sure to add a Lume Cube (see picture of drone) to your drone to stay legal at night since the light on the drone does not meet FCC specs for drone night use. Also be aware that this drone does NOT come with night vision on the camera, but the CMOS sensor IS high enough quality to give decent video in the presence of artificial light (city lights) and full moon light. Don’t expect much of anything though if you are in a pitch dark environment.

Love the portability ease of use! Have extensive use of the Mavic Pro and this is Mini2 drone compares to it just as good at less than half the price. Great stability in wind with awesome pictures and 4K video. Was REALLY!!! Disappointed that it doesn’t have active track 3.0 but other than than that it’s awesome!

It’s great so far. Still trying to navigate all the things it can do. The battery life goes so quickly. I was in mid flight and it died. Lol other than that the camera and video is great and the flight length is still out for judgement due to how fast the battery runs down.

Excellent product and well worth the price point. Great stabilization technology for windy days. Footage is similar to regular photography. You will want to fly during the sweet spots in the day for best quality. Great battery life if stored properly. Well worth the value. Plus, aftermarket skins are available

One of the best affordable drones out there, easy to fly specially for first timers, very stable when windy. Love that the RC Controllers charges your phone while in use. Excellent picture quality, I took it to Costa Rica and took some nice picts.

I couldn't have wished for a better drone at this price point. Its video and camera quality are great; wouldn't expect anything less from a 20MP 4K camera. Build quality is awesome. The great thing about this drone is you don't need a license to operate. However, a license may be required for some authorization zones. Overall, it's worth every penny. You won't regret buying it.

Definitely worth the price point. This little drone is one to take you film or photo skills to another level. I use mine even indoors.

I bought this for my 10 year old son for Christmas and it’s absolutely perfect for him. I bought myself the bigger drone to fly with him. He is very tech savvy and learned how to fly it in 5 minutes. I attached photo taken by the drone, its pretty amazing.

Awesome machine! Does everything as advertised and more. Great pics, amazing performance in wind. A perfect drone to start your aerial photography adventures. Many photo options in the app. DJI is also continually updating the app and the drone. This is my second one. Wife wanted to get into the hobby! Get the combo Fly More combo pack for your first one if you can afford it.

Best drone for the money hands down. Camera is amazing in 4K. Never had an issue. Have owned for over a month. Amazing how high it can fly. You will not be disappointed.

Everything as advertised. Wish it did have the collision avoidance, already crashed it twice. Minor. Had to replace two wings already. Nice that it comes with a single emplacement set.
