• No need to be near wifi, Connect your phone to the controller, then it's done you can fly it.

• You only need actual internet connection for the app setups and for DJI app to see what area you are to regulate the drone accordingly. But to ONLY fly it (after initial setup) you do not need to be on any wifi with internet.
