• summer temps in florida are 98 and up, it does fine, i just used it last November on 30 deg F and it worked, not sure anyhting below 25 degs F.

• I guess it depends on what temperatures you consider hot and cold. 20° skiing, no problem. 90° in the summer sun, sure. But, I wouldn't put it in the oven at 350° to do a time lapse of my roast cooking.
