If the wind blows it far enough away your controller could lose WiFi communication with it and it may not return to land at the exact point where it took off even though it will eventually land. Just hope it's not over the ocean or acres of thick forest, lol!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the gps mode is on he gona fight against the wind by himself to stay in the right position,, if the gps is of then u have to controller by yourself so you probably gona loose it
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I live in a Village in Alaska where it blows all the time . I fly mine in 20 to 25 mph all the time in GPS mode never a problem . Hit RTH button it will come home . Make sure you calibrate the compass before you fly . I will try it at 30 mph and get back to you .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well anything above 20mph you will stand a good chance of it crashing. If it's 20 close to ground, it could be higher higher up with nothing to block the wind. I flew mine at 20 to 25 but kept it low.

As indicated on page 37 of the manual at https://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/phantom_3_standard/en/Phantom_3_Standard_User_Manual_v1.4_en_0112.pdf, you are advised not to use the aircraft in wind speeds exceeding 10 m/s. As you are aware, wind speeds generally increase as altitude increases hence we advise considerable caution if flying at higher altitudes. In normal, fair conditions at low altitudes and winds less than 10m/s, the Phantom 3 Standard hovers in place, holding both position and altitude. Thanks.
