Hello bjones. You should be fine carrying this as hand luggage, but please first check with your airline to ensure you are abiding by their practices. Thanks.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just received one of these while in Las Vegas, and took it aboard Southwest Airlines as a "personal item" carry-on. It fit underneath the seat in front of me in the Boeing 737-700 and 737-800 (I flew with it on both planes) with about 2-3" of clearance to spare on the sides, and about 1-2" on the top. The LiPo battery's Watt-hour rating, if you calculate it, is 68.1Wh, well within the TSA's 100Wh restrictions for lithium batteries inside a device being carried on. Check with your airline if it's not Southwest, because it varies from airline to airline. I did call Southwest to be 100% sure before I boarded. My experience here is with carry-on, but Southwest did confirm that they will allow the drone in carry-on or checked baggage, but they said to make sure it's VERY safely packed if in your checked bag, you don't want to get to your destination and have it be all smashed up! ~Kat
