“I just got this past Friday. Looked brand new, box sealed, puzzled..,why is the firmware 1.4 out of the box...that was released last Aug. 2018...Do i have a factory refurbished unit.,,paid new price, That was 4 versions ago. Current is 1.8.”

I got the same firmware and I got the Ronin about a month ago. seems like they all come like this

Please try again later.From what I have read on their forums, that's not uncommon as the original units were crazy expensive and there was a lot of back stock when they repackaged the 'essentials kit' they basically just removed the extra items from the case and re-wrapped the retail box with a new sleeve and UPC code.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That's the software it shipped with. While it was sitting on the shelf, they pushed several updates. There is nothing new about that, even phones and laptops do the same thing all the time. Just update the firmware and enjoy.
