It will fly much further than Federal Law (FAA) will allow.

1.2 miles in an open area with no obstructions.

Flying with the Spark Controller, about 1.4 miles but this should be adjusted if you are in a densely populated suburb. You may get less based on wifi channel interference. Youtubers flying in an open field can get max distances.

The drone has a range of up to 1.2 miles.

Timbo it will go up to 1.2 miles with it plugged into your smartphone if you have range extender you can go 1.5 miles keep in mind smart battery will need to be set up at 50% return home or notification so that you can fight wind if you need to come back before battery dies.
