The drone runs on its own wifi network, it doesn't require cell service to operate it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You shouldn't have any issues flying without internet or cell signal. In fact, I typically fly my Spark and Mavic Pro in airplane mode so that I don't get texts, phone calls, etc. Simply go to airplane mode, then turn your wifi back on (to fly in wifi mode only). A signal is good in case there are updates, but I would recommend downloading any updates for your Spark before you leave. It should keep until you return home.

In fact, I fly my Spark and Mavic Pro in airplane mode to avoid receiving texts or phone calls while flying. Simply turn on airplane mode, then turn your wifi back on in order to fly in wifi mode. The only caveat to this is that you don't get updates, so make sure to download any updates before you leave. You should be fine until you get back if the signal there is spotty.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your phone and spark will communicate with their own on-board WiFi antennas. Cellular service out of your service area does not matter.
