“Why does it still state that you have to register with the FAA when the ruling was overturned in court?”

• Because the FAA may appeal the ruling and Best Buy is going to give the safest answer until the matter is considered fully closed by the FAA. The FAA still has registering as a requirement on their website, but at the moment it is not law due to the recent ruling.

• The need to register drones over 250 grams in mass is still in effect. The Spark is heavy enough to meet this requirement. It’s a 5 minute process and doesn’t cost much.
