QuestionI bought one of these and instructions say to replace the temporary batteries with 4 D batteries. The problem is that I cannot find anywhere on top or bottom of the lantern to open and replace. No directions on how to get to batteries. Can you tell me how

QuestionFound a question from a purchaser inquiring how to change the batteries. Response hold lantern upside down, turn base counterclockwise. Tried that; base is on there very tight and am unable to get it off. Any other suggestions?

- Answer Absolutely! Firstly remove bulb and place into trash. Secondly place rest of unit into trash.
