Yes, you need a 12v 55Ah SLA battery with M6 Insert, C, Insert Terminal to replace the internal battery. If you want to extend your run time, you daisy chain additional 12v batteries using the terminal posts on the back of the unit. We recommend a 12v 100Ah SLA battery with AGM technology. This will nearly triple your run time.
