“Do I leave it plugged into wall charging all the time when not in use?”

• You can leave it plugged in and like a refrig plugged into the powersource. If the electric goes out the powersource will automatically turn on and run the refrig

• You can, and actually should plug it every once in a while anyway. So it's ready when you need it.
