• No. The intake for the paper is for 8 1/2 " wide paper. (There's a small amount of wiggle room, but definitely not enough for anything 9" wide.) But since this will handle multiple sheets, you could always fold the envelope over if it doesn't have too much inside.

• The paper shredder slot is only 8.5 inches wide. The shredder can accommodate up to 10 sheets that size though so you may be able to fold larger pieces of paper and shred them that way.
