• I don’t have a “mini”, but it won’t work on my iPad or any other Apple device. I bought it specifically for my Gopro camera.

• Chris, I don't know the voltage requirements of the ipad mini, because my iPad is from 2012, the Mesozoic Era. Usually, the standard is about 5V and 20 amps (for wall chargers, in the smartphone and tablet-power industry). Anyway, this adapter is about $5.00. Why not give it a try? I'm using it for backwards connection to a monitor with a laptop HDMI dongle that needs power to boost its signal for HD video, or something like that. Best luck!
