Your question is about a smaller TV I believe, I think the recommendation was for 49" to 65" but don't have that info in front of me now. I bought this for my daughter and installed it at her house a couple weeks ago.
A:AnswerThat was the only issue I had. I ended up drilling holes into the bracket so the tighteners which did absolutely nothing, could do the job they were supposed to do.
A:AnswerFor my 75” it’s mounted 20” higher than where you want the bottom of the TV to be, per instructions. The mount is just a little higher than center of the TV, perhaps to give you more downward tilt room. Then you use the template provided to mark the holes.
