I am using a mini DVI to VGA adapter and the VGA input on the left side of the Dynex. There is a 1/8 audio input below the4 VGA input that you can use with your headphone out on the mac. Total price for the parts pictured was around $10.00 delivered.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.from looking at the pictures of this TVs inputs you should be able to plug an audio cable into to the slot that looks like a 3.5mm headphone cable would plug into in the "PC IN" box next to the VGA hookup. not sure if the sound would come though if you are on the HDMI video mode on the TV however and I can't really find the cable i'm talking about online for purchase but it would fit in your headphone jack and its the same (male) end on both sides of the cord. see: 3.5mm JACK AUDIO STEREO Male/ Male CABLE. so hope this helps but the more i think about it you might have to be using the PC INput with the VGA cable to get audio in which case losing your full HDMI. an alternative is to get a small home stereo system and try hooking your macbook up to that simultaneously.
