You would be much better off buying a TRS interconnect cable than this, which has a 4th lead li8ne on the second ring. Besides, the pins may not match upexactlyright because of the extra ring. Get a standard 3.5mm TRS connector on each end. Be saure to turn the output volume from your cassette deck down very low. The output level of a standard home component is typically about a -10Db and the input for a mic level jack is typically about -60Db, so the output from the deck is thousands and thousands of times stronger than the input on the computer.
