Questiondoes this do audio and video or just audio?

- Answer This is an A/V cable. It will carry the signal of both the left and right audio signals AND the video signal. There is a common ground, the sleeve, and there are 3 signal paths, the left, the right and the video. TRRS = Tip, Ring, Ring, Sleeve.3 signal paths and a common ground.

- Answer This may work and it may not, depending on where the contacts are bon each side of your cable. This cable has an extra ring, designed to carry video signal. it may throw off the signal path, hence the nomenclature of TRRS instead of TRS. Basically, those letters mean Tip Ring Ring Sleeve (4 contacts) insted of TRS (Tip Ring Sleeve).The sleeve is the ground, so the TRS will provide both left and right channels. Below, ill suggest a couple of alternative consideratios that are TRS.

- Answer Yup! 3.5mm is the size of a standard headphone jack. It doesn't guarantee that your unit will accept it as an input.

- Answer You would be much better off buying a TRS interconnect cable than this, which has a 4th lead li8ne on the second ring. Besides, the pins may not match upexactlyright because of the extra ring. Get a standard 3.5mm TRS connector on each end. Be saure to turn the output volume from your cassette deck down very low. The output level of a standard home component is typically about a -10Db and the input for a mic level jack is typically about -60Db, so the output from the deck is thousands and thousands of times stronger than the input on the computer.

- Answer Yes, both jacks on either side of the DX-HZ319 6FT 3.5MM 4 CONDUCTOR TRRS MALE audio cord fit my Samsung and iphone. Note: I purchased the cord to join/tether a laptop and Jawbone/Jambox wireless speaker. I use the cord whenever I can't access a Wi-Fi signal to amplify the volume of the computer using the wireless speaker.

- Answer It’s a straight through cable so the pins are replicated the same on both ends - as for ground I couldn’t tell you which part of the jack the shield wires are tied too - you only want this if you need trrs on both ends or want to make a cable out of it
