Can I connect galaxy s9 to hdmi to watch on my tv null

Being an Apple guy I'm not familiar with the galaxy s9 but if it has the correct port / jack it should work to get HDMI to the tv. I used it with my older MacBook Pro to connect to a TV and it worked great. I took my laptop to the store to try it out there and verify it all and that clinched it for me.
