“whye did the shredder die after 1/2 dozen uses? I used the shredder exactly as directed and after each use, I disconnected it from the wall outlet. When I plug it in now after having used it about 6 times over a couple of months, it will not start - no light, no sound. I tried every outlet in the house which included those in use, still it did not start. When I finished using it the last time, about 4 weeks ago, it was working just fine.”

This unit does have a 1 year manufacturer warranty. I would suggest taking the shredder and your receipt into your local Best Buy store to the Geek Squad desk for a warranty review.
