QuestionDynex 6 sheet shredder description on box says that it accepts staples.The owners manual says that it will not accept staples. Which is right?

- Answer I would take out the staples beforehand. I can only imagine that there will be faster wear and tear of the blades if you leave the staples in. Not to mention paper jams as well. -cheers

Questionwhye did the shredder die after 1/2 dozen uses?I used the shredder exactly as directed and after each use, I disconnected it from the wall outlet. When I plug it in now after having used it about 6 times over a couple of months, it will not start - no light, no sound. I tried every outlet in the house which included those in use, still it did not start. When I finished using it the last time, about 4 weeks ago, it was working just fine.

- Answer This unit does have a 1 year manufacturer warranty. I would suggest taking the shredder and your receipt into your local Best Buy store to the Geek Squad desk for a warranty review.

- Answer Each piece is just over 3/16 inch wide by 1 3/8 inches long. The cross-cutter is triangular shaped, so the resulting pieces are not perfect rectangles. The length was measured between the points on each end.
