how can i measure cooling fan langth null

Come on man get your ruler out lol... there is two different size fans in most cases this is the smaller fan found in small atx cases and in power supplies.

Good question ! I can only measure the distance between the four mounting screws to see if it will fit. But this measurement does not correspond to the 80mm listed on the package. I think 80mm refers to the actual square frame size on each side, and not the spacing of the mounting holes, which is slightly less. My HP brand desktop computer had a larger mounting hole spacing, so I had to drill four new holes for this fan to fit, rather than buy a higher priced fan from HP..
