• It does get warm when charging but it does not get really hot. Its activated with electricity, so some warmth should be expected. I love mine, fills the gap anytime I don't have a normal charging option.

• The battery pack does get hot when used to charge a phone. I like to put it in my pocket when it is charging, but sometimes it gets so hot that I have to take it out of my pocket. I don't think it would burn me, it just becomes so hot that it is uncomfortable.
