I was reading about the over the air antennas on the internet, that's what this antenna is. It will get you all your main channels, plus other sub channels. Addresing the OTA Question, you may want to speak with your local BEST BUY! THEY ARE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE! It depends on where you live. If you have the internet just look up over the air antenna. The 'AVERAGE' number of channels a person gets is 48. I think you would probably be happy with one of these! Check with BEST BUY !!
