• Not sure if it works on all devices, but it is not exclusive to apple products. I use mine on my Microsoft surface and it works great!

• NO. mini-HDMI port is different than this Mini-DisplayPort adapter. Now if you meant "any device having Mini-DisplayPort" then the answer would be YES.

• Correct, this will work with any device using Mini DisplayPort, provided they use the same pin layout.

• I used for a Lenovo Laptop and working great, no issue so far, I wash movies from my laptop to my Smart tv and it got great quality image.

• It worked on a Surface Pro 3 which is not a Apple Mac product. So I think it will work with all devices that have the Mini Display Port (MDP)

• No, it's for Mini-Display ports, so it'll only work with Apple products.
