- Answer Not sure if it works on all devices, but it is not exclusive to apple products. I use mine on my Microsoft surface and it works great!

- Answer Actually this WON'T work with the 2018 MBA. The 2018 is USB-C only and doesn't have a Mini DisplayPort port. You'd need to find a USB-C (Thunderbolt 3) to HDMI adapter.

- Answer Yup! If you end up buying it remember to make sure the screen icon on the cable faces up toward you. its easy to plug in the cable in the wrong direction. Once you plug it in, you can output your display by pressing windows key + P .

- Answer It will NOT work for the retina models. It will work for all of the models before the retina model came out in 2018. The retina models only have usb-C.

- Answer No, this will not work with USB -- one end is a mini displayport that is commonly found in Apple computers.

- Answer It's not a splitter, so I do not think it will give you true hook up to two monitors. It will either give you screen mirroring (which is when TV displays same exact thing as your laptop), or Extended Screen (which is when the laptop is next to another screen, and your cursor will move from one screen to the next giving you more "real estate" to work on. IF, however, you have a dock/hub with two display outputs, it may be possible to hook this up to two monitors. But ONLY IF the hub is acting as a video card and splitting the display signal and not just sending the same image to two monitors. I hope this helps

- Answer Mini display ports on MacBooks and iMac are meant as a one direction output. So you won’t be able to use it as an extended monitor or clamshell mode. If you ever plan to watch your laptop on a TV monitor, you can always buy it to have for future and try it out on your iMac. But I doubt it would give you screen mirror/extended monitor since it’s not sending and receiving signals thru mini display port. It’s only sending.

- Answer This adapter’s purpose is to convert the connector on a computer – miniDisplayPort – to HDMI for use with a monitor or HDTV. The Amazon Fire TV Stick has an HDMI port already, so there is no point in adapting it to anything else; it was designed for plugging directly into a TV and doesn’t need any adapter to do so.

- Answer This will allow your mini port device to talk to an HDMI cable. If your smart TV has an HDMI input, then yes, it should work.
