- Answer It works for mines and I believe my Mac Book Air is a 2015. As long as you have a Mini Display-Port it will work. Because this turns that into an HDMI one.

- Answer No it will not. It will work with the MacBook Pro 13” and 15” from early 2015, but not with the 12” model. You would need a USB-C to HDMI cable for that. Similar to this, but different connector to the MacBook 12”.

- Answer you will need a hdmi cable. this adapter has a female hdmi connect. so a hdmi cable with male style at both ends, NOT a hdmi extension(which would have a male AND female).
