• Sorry, no. The sound bar has it's own remote. The only solution would be to leave the sound bar on all the time or connect it up to a battery back up that has a master control outlet.

• You have to program your remote. I used code 1061 for my TiVo remote.

• No, you would need HDMI connection to do that. However, if your using a universal remote just program it to turn both on.

• No, using the optical connection will not allow the TV to communicate with the soundbar for those types of functions.
