This sound bar really helps the sound on our nine year old Samsung hd tv. I had to connect it using the rca cables because the other two options would not work. We watch a lot of news.

I love some of these reviews - you must review these items in context. I got this as a "deal of the day" buy at just under 50 bucks. You could spend 400 bucks on sale for a Yamaha, or I think even more for a Bose...but that's another category altogether. If you're looking for rich sound in an apartment living room, in a bedroom, den, or townhouse - this thing will be great. In fact...you might anger the neighbors in an apartment because it does kick pretty good. We actually have it in a cabinet that houses our TV and it's on a wood shelf...the bass delivers pretty good and there is never distortion even at high volumes. I suppose if you're a big concert watcher living in the country with no neighbors around, you might go for something different - but this is really nice for most needs. I really like it a lot :-)

The Dynex sound bar was bought because the TV in my kitchen had the worst sound ever. The sound bar works fine giving a little bit of bass. Although the bass could have been better the sound is still better than the TV. Only draw is you need to use the remote that came with the sound bar as the TV remote cannot be configured to work with the sound bar. Hey, what do you want for 30 bucks?

The sound bar provides a deeper sound than the built in speakers on my television, which I really enjoy when watching movies. For regular television programs, the sound is a little muddy, which may be helped by trying different settings on the sound bar. I don't use the product as much as I expected, but I don't regret the purchase. It seems to be a good product, and at the sale price when I purchased it, a great deal.

I purchased this for my son who just moved out-of-state for his first job. His living room is approx 15' x 18' and also gave him my 52" Sony Bravia to hook the Soundbar into. Musicality is very good - even a decent amount of bass, which usually lacks in the less-expensive Soundbars. Good value!

The Sharp 32" television I recently purchased is an excellent tv but the sound/speakers were not that great. The Dynex Soundbar is highly recommended. It is reasonably priced and has a low profile (does not take up a lot of space). I did have to elevate the tv about 3" (put the TV on a wooden box) so the soundbar did not block any portion of the screen. The sound is much better using the soundbar. The remote control is small, so I programmed the tv remote for volume control. Note: the soundbar must be turned on for the remote to control the volume.

This unit is smaller and fits my 32" flat screen very well, although it is a bit thick, so it blocks the eye of the TV if sitting in front of it, so I put it behind the TV instead. The remote is tiny and only consists of little bubble buttons that are impossible to see in the dark, and is very easily misplaced or lost, which is why I subtracted one star. Very easy setup and comes with RCA and accessory cables, but also has an optical connection available. It added the much needed forward push of sound in my bedroom so I can finally hear it from across the room, and the added bass adds quite a bit to the quality. Very pleased with this purchase.

Pretty good sound for a small price. Greatly improves the sound from my 50" smart tv. Fairly good bass and treble. Easy hook up.

This item actually exceeded my expectations for the price. It's not spectacular, but is very good and an improvement over the built-in speakers in my Sharp TV.

This is a great sound bar for the price. I like it very much. The only problem I had was hooking it up directly to my tv. The audio didn't work when I used the red/white Audi cables hooked up directly to the tv. I had to hook them up to my radio receiver and the radio to the tv. That is fine and the sound quality is great.

This is a good sound bar, if you don't need to blow the walls off your house. It adds a little bass to the mix, and has diff. presets for shows.

I bought this to go with my Vizio TV and have been impressed with the quality of the sound. Set up was easy and it has enriched the total media experience.

This is a good soundbar for the price, much lower price than most soundbars. It didn't take long to set up.

Great sound bar for the price. If you are looking for a cheaper sound bar with decent quality this would be it.

I bought this soundbar when my old one went out. It has a good quality sound, is a smaller size to fit under my TV better. I really like it. the sound isn't QUITE as rich as my other one, but considering I paid a LOT less for it, it is perfectly acceptable and I would buy it again.

Purchased this soundbar at $40 during a sale and I have no regrets. The only problem I have with this is there is no aux out port but I guess that's minor

Absolutely great sound from the soundbar. easy hook up. One less star because of no blutooth and could be a touch more bass. Other than that, great deal, especially for the price.

This soundbar gives great sound quality, and is an excellent value for the price. It's a nice addition to our flatscreen TV

We needed a little something to help with the older HD tv we have and this was a great addition. Not real expensive and not real fancy but it does the trick. Works best with the fiber cable and not so well with the included speaker cable so do yourself a favor and get the fiber cable. Overall very satisfied.
