You should only need to re-paste if you having a problem with overheating. Obviously, if you change processors you will need to paste.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Remove the old thermal paste with rubbing alcohol and apply new thermal paste anytime you replace your heat sink or processor. As long as you don't separate your processor from the heat sink, leave it alone.
