There are 2 screws to mount to the wall, and they are about 4" apart vertically. The bracket that attaches to tv will fit onto that bracket. The other screws will go into that bracket are placed depending on the back of your tv. There are several configurations, and lots of hardware and spacers and anchors to accomodate a variety of tvs. Hope this helps.
