Can this be flush with the wall? Does it have to tilt? null

This mounting unit can be flush with the wall or tilted. It's adjustable.

No, it won’t be flush. There’s two inches of hardware behind TV. Still, you would be hard pressed to see it. Don’t have to tilt if you hang it at eye level. Nice feature to have just in case.

Tilt is always better for me because I plug in and plug out something or the other like my Dish Joey or Apple TV or Xbox etc. For all of this, tilt is better. If you do not have any activity behind the TV, then flush is OK. Very little tilt gives me a better angle than the flush. Hope it helps.
