• I used the pole while scuba diving in 90 feet of water off the coast of Florida. I cleaned it well and hung it open to dry. That was 2 months ago and it is still working fine.

• I have not used my underwater, but I have used it in the rain. When I got back inside, I used can air to dry it off best I could. I have not tried to see if it is rust resistant. Let me know if you go underwater.
