We frequently use it on our screen porch, too, and probably only good for the general area of the table which seats six. It might be better if seating was differently arranged??

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello Pete, this is Kelly with Dyson. Your Dyson AM07 Tower Fan will work like any standard fan would. Air conditioning units and the Dyson Air Multiplier™ fan are two very different products that work in very different ways. An air conditioner refrigerates the air it supplies, allowing the air in the room to be made cooler than the ambient temperature outside. The Dyson Air Multiplier™ fan cools a person by moving air over and around them. You would not have the ability to adjust the temperature on your AM07, but you do have 10 fan speeds to use from, to adjust airflow. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
