“I read the articulating hard floor tool will work with a V7 as long as get a converter. Which one do I get? Also how hard or soft is the brush bristles. I don’t want any crashes etc.”

• call Dyson direct for the adaptor for your model-very helpful folks. I have unfinished soft white pine floors and it does not scratch them at all.
