  • QuestionWill it work with the V6 animal?

    • Answer yes. It's takes a little getting used to as it turns 360 degrees. It's useless on carpet or rugs but is absolutely fantastic on hard surfaces. When you get used to how to position it you can get into all kinds of tight spots and even turn it upside down to vacuum under the toe panels under cabinets.

  • QuestionThe Articulating Hard Floor Tool Apparently works with the V8 Animal Cordless with a connecting adapter. However where does one get this adapter. Nothing on BB or Dyson website to reference the particular product.

    • Answer This product does not work at all. There is not enough suction in these vacuums to actually pick up particles with this particular attachment. Do not purchase this product!

    • Answer The Articulating Hard Floor Tool will NOT work with the V8 Absolute. I spent some time looking for the answer to that question. I did not find a yes or a no on the Dyson website but it is possible to discover that the Articulating Hard Floor Tool is not an accessory for the V8 Absolute. One has to figure out the answer unless you converse with someone from Dyson. Unfortunately I chose to accept the answer on the Best Buy Website where a verified purchase wrote on 26 April 2017 regarding the Articulating Hard Floor Tool : “It works with my v8 Absolute perfectly as most of Dyson attachments fit recent product models.” When the Articulating Hard Floor Tool arrived it became immediately clear that the tool would NOT work with my V8 Absolute. A call to Dyson confirmed what is so clear if you try to attach the tool to the V8 Absolute. It took some time to confirm the truth online, but a very nice, very patient Dyson representative worked through the web pages with me until it was clear there is no such tool for the V8. There is an earlier answer to this question from a Dyson Customer Service rep dated 17 December 2016 suggesting the Articulating Hard Floor Tool is not yet available seemingly implying that such a thing is likely to become available, so the more recent but INCORRECT answer was easy to believe. As of 25 September 2017 A Articulating Hard Floor Tool will NOT work with the V8 Absolute.

    • Answer Hi Parker, this is David with Dyson. The Dyson articulating hard floor tool would not be compatible with Dyson V11™ or Dyson Cyclone V10™ cordless machines. The articulating hard floor tool will work with your Dyson CY22, however you would need an adaptor piece, which would attach between the tool and your vacuum.     • Answer Hello Ralph, this is Kelly with Dyson. The articulating hard floor tool was designed for use with Dyson upright and canister vacuums. Having said that, you can use it with the Dyson Cyclone V10, but would need an adaptor piece for it to fit and work with your cord-free.   • QuestionDoes this put scratches on engineered hard wood flooring?

    • Answer We have soft yellow pine wide board floors finished in oil only and it does not scratch them. The brush is the only thing that hits the floor so I would think it is unlikely that it would scratch. I bought it because I was afraid the regular floor tool would scratch the floors. If you get it from Best Buy or Dyson direct you have 14 days to return it if you do not like it.
