QuestionWill this work on fine rugs? And will I need an adaptor for my v6 stick vacuum?

- Answer Hi Denver, this is Kelly with Dyson. If you are attaching the articulating hard floor tool to a V6 machine, that will attach without the need for an adaptor. The V6 machine has the older gray-tabbed attachments. You may find that the tool works ok on finer or thin rugs, but keep in mind there is no spinning brush bar, so you may find that the tool has too much resistance when vacuuming. You would need to use an adaptor piece, which fits between the tool and the wand on your cordless. QuestionThis attachment was suggested to me by Best Buy when I purchased the Dyson Big Ball canister vacuum online. This part does not attach. Is there a way to attach?

The Big Ball canister vacuum has a different attachment; you'll notice the red latch on your wand, whereas the articulating hard floor tool has a gray latch to attach to the machine. An adaptor would be needed, to fit between the tool and your machine. This tool offers a swiveling brush head with an ultra-slim profile to reach difficult spaces. - Answer Hi Barb, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Articulating hard floor tool is intended for use with our upright and canister model vacuums. Having said that, it will connect to the V7, with an adaptor, that you can find on the Dyson website. We do also carry a soft roller floor tool for our cord-free machines. That roller was engineered specifically for use on bare floors. Unfortunately, the brush bar on the cord-free machines cannot be turned off or disabled. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

QuestionWill this work with a V7 model? I'm looking for an attachment that will work on wool carpets. Just installed new wool carpets to find out I can't use a beater bar and my model doesn't offer the option to turn it off. So, I'd like to find an attachment.

- Answer Hi Barb, this is Kelly with Dyson. The articulating hard floor tool does not connect as-is to the Dyson V7 cord-free. It would work with an adaptor, which we carry on our website. We do also offer the soft roller head, which is another floor tool you can use with the cord-free machines. QuestionCan't connect this to the V11 Torque cordless. I bought this attachment for my new dyson as it stated that it was compatible with the cordless models and this attachment is too big to go inside the wand. How do I get the right attachment? Help!
