Hi Chuck, this is Kelly with Dyson. The articulating hard floor tool was intended for use with our upright and canister model vacuums. You CAN use it with your cord-free V8 Animal, however an adaptor piece would be needed, that would fit between the tool and your vacuum. This adaptor can be purchased right on the Dyson website.
