• No, not one that you can choose yourself. It is supposed to be self adjusting but this does not work on med/high pile carpet or thick padding. Best for use in homes with hardwood/tile/level surface flooring.

• Yes, you push the on button only half way, instead of completely down to make it switch from hard wood to carpet. Pushing it all the way makes it turn to carpet mode.

• The Dyson Ball Animal 2 is self adjusting and so no matter what your vacuuming it is at the optimum height. It just works great.
